2nd Year Studio Gallery
Sophomore Industrial Design Studio could be described as an “Introduction to Industrial Design” and is taught in conjunction with Materials and Process, Visual Communication and Visual Thinking courses. The projects encourage and enable students to learn and practice fundamental industrial design concepts, skills and philosophies of good design such as conducting basic research, form following function, affordances, product semantics, materials and manufacturing methods, problem solving, simplicity, proportions, rapid ideation, prototyping, sustainability, and basic documentation.
