Among other interests in ID, Sam is interested in social impact design furniture design, and design education. He enjoys reading fantasy, designing/making whether with LEGO, metal, wood, 3D printing, forging, casting, you name it!

Fascinated by the process of creating something out of nothing, Suochun is interested in transportation design, innovation, and technology. When he’s not in studio, you’ll find him reading comic books or playing basketball/soccer.

Helping people through thoughtful design solutions was one of Sai’s inspirations to pursue ID. He spends his free time watching YouTube and he also enjoys reading about tech, design, and technology.

As a third-generation designer, Marina was surrounded by design her whole life, which she believes led to her interest in ID. She loves making things and has an interest in design education and fashion. She enjoys drawing, watching movies, water coloring, film photography, and baking.

Tehya didn’t want “to do Architecture, and a Target magazine” so she found ID and hopes to follow her passion with a design career in fashion or designing scientific instruments. During her free time, you’ll find her playing video games, reading, or watching movies. Oh, and she LOVES Pad Thai!

Mehdi is interested in design for defense/medical fields. He enjoys CAD and rendering in Keyshot, when he’s not designing, he spends his free time playing video games and getting lots of rest.

The combination of creative arts and practical use is what interested Michael into pursuing ID, but if you asked him, he really just wanted a career that would let him draw. His interests in ID range from consumer electronics, fashion, transportation, and conceptual art. He spends his free time gaming, drawing, and he also loves pizza.

Adding beauty and functionality to everyday life are some of Emily’s goals with a career in ID. She’s passionate about furniture design, fashion, and packaging design. When she’s not busy working or working on her studio projects, she enjoys cooking, yoga, and traveling.

Jaasiel’s interests in design range from furniture design, education, technology, fashion, and transportation design. When he’s not working hard in studio, he enjoys playing soccer, listening to music, and working out.

Tim had an interest in art and design and while he initially wanted to become an engineer, he quickly realized that he hated Math and found that ID was the perfect mix between art and engineering. He’s passionate about transportation design, consumer electronics, and furniture design. He enjoys Skating, music, guitar, gaming, hiking, and baseball.

Lily is passionate about designing “cool small things that help people in everyday life, like the stuff from Ikea” She’s interested in transportation design, sports, furniture, fashion, and designing kitchen appliances. When she’s not working out, you’ll find her crocheting during her free time as well as watching anime.

“I found out I had a skill that I wanted to use to help people and/or bring people joy” Sarah is interested in pursuing a career in consumer electronics, furniture, toy design, or even designing movie props.
