The M-84 is an everyday carry tactical flashlight that accepts multiple retention options that make using a flashlight with a firearm easier.
Like some other flashlights, the M-84 features a rubber ring to make this method easier, however, the M-84 combines the function of a retention ring which makes the method much more versatile and efficient than other solutions on the market.
The QDR Ring like other retention rings on the market retains the flashlight to your person however, this ring’s strategically placed location provides a much better function and ergonomics for the user.
The FRC-Mk1 is a retention solution that allows the user to ditch their flashlight and draw their firearm if a situation warranted their firearm to be drawn. This option is the most “hands-free” flashlight method but works best if the user has a weapon-mounted light that they could alternate to.

Hello, I'm Josh,
I am a Texas-based Industrial Design student attending the University of Houston. Ever since I was a kid, I was always doodling ideas and building contraptions and inventions with my brothers, I never thought I could make a career out of something I simply did for fun. I am most interested in designing better experiences and interactions between people and the products and tools they use every day. I hope to use my creativity to collaborate with others to solve problems and design useful products that push the boundaries of innovation.
