Through the completion of a master’s level thesis, graduate students conducted independent, original research projects of a significant issue or area of interest in the field of Industrial Design. All students presented and communicated their design process, solutions, and research findings in a clear, responsible, critical, and objective manner, both orally and in writing.

Guided by the findings of a year-long mixed methods case study into the anxiety of children during eye exams and subsequent collaborative design research methods, the proposed system allows optometrists to deliver dilation drops faster, gets kids to open their eyes naturally, and eliminates the need to restrain kids.
Härvist is an atmospheric water generator that produces water in three different ways: fog harvesting, dew collection, and rainwater. Designed to be cost effective, efficient, and intuitive to assembled/disassembled by a single user, Härvist is adaptable and modular to fit diverse sites. With a problem as critical as water scarcity, every drop counts.
Pocket Park is a deployable wall designed for dog owners to allow their dog to play outside off-leash in a safe, socially distanced, and enclosed area. Paired with the Pocket Park Application, where dog owners can find areas to use their Pocket Park in their city, they can also find yards near them to rent out, just like Airbnb.
The S CAT is an augmented reality headset fused with EEG sensors and an accelerator. It will provide a simple experience that tests players vision, cognition and balance to diagnose a concussion wherever needed.

d.ext is a dynamic extension brace that helps people recover control over spastic limbs. Users can adjust tension with the spring-loaded dial or convert to a static form with the locking mechanism. The device is 3D printed to a wearer’s custom preferences.
